Many doctors don’t understand the benefits of prescribing an offloading lumbar support orthotic to relieve low back pain. They are commonly called back braces, which they clearly are not. It is often misunderstood by many patients as well. Offloading lumbar supports, when properly fitted are quite comfortable and have great therapeutic benefit as well.
